The Employee/Student Health Department

We are located in Room N-128.

The hours or operation are:
Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

We are closed all official UMHC holidays. If students should become ill or sustain injury after hours, they are encouraged to seek care at the UMHC emergency Department if necessary.

Students may receive Nursing Care, first aid, and over-the counter medications on an as-needed basis during all hours of operation. Standard Sick-Call hours are staffed by a board certified physician and nurse practitioner. Students may be seen without an appointment. All of the staff at UMMC's Student and Employee Health Service have no role in any student's academic assessment or evaluation.

The Sick-Call Hours are:
8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.
10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

In case of class conflicts, appointments can be scheduled by calling (601) 984-1185. If a student is sick and a physician is not immediately available, the Nursing staff of Employee/Student health will make arrangements to have them seen by an external physician.
